We have a variety of jumper cables and jump starters like the MaxxTow # MT29FR and NOCO # NOC78VR respectively, but we don't have just the alligator clips. If the alligator clips on your jumper cables have sheared off then I recommend replacing them completely so you know all of the connections are properly made and sealed.

We're glad to hear that your pretty happy with your # 329-GB40 jump start pack. NOCO doesn't offer a narrower clip, but just about any auto parts store should have a couple of different styles of adapters for side post batteries. The way the positive and ground cables attach to the batteries wouldn't change, but you'd have auxiliary posts to attach the clips for the jump box or jumper cables. It sounds like you are concerned with the status of the starter battery and if that is case there is no need to worry as there are built-in safeguards to prevent puling power from the start battery when it gets below a certain voltage. Whenever I hear of a battery giving off this type of feedback flashing from FL(fully charged) to 84(percent of charge) it tells me that the battery has lost its maximum capacity. The jumper box is alternating this as it attempts to charge and the battery says its fully charged but as the charging voltage is turned off it drops to the 84 you see as it can no longer hold a full 100% charge. The charger then kicks back on thinking it can charge back to 100.

The Peak Performance Jump Starter doesn't have an adapter made for it to convert it to 110 volt. It has a fold out 110 volt style connector at the rear that you'd use an extension cable to plug into an outlet for charging. In the instructions on most jump starters like the # DU76FR, it mentions that they should not be used in the rain or snow. The biggest issue is keeping the cable connectors free from moisture, which is tough to do in adverse weather conditions, and this is a fairly common guideline. You will be able to use the NOCO Boost Plus Jump Starter- LED Work Light - USB Port - 12V - 1,000 Amp, part # 329-GB40, to charge your 2015 Ford Escape. The negative charging cable does not have to reach the negative terminal to charge your battery, just a metal surface. Your battery is next to the firewall of your vehicle. You should be able to attach the negative cable there without any problems.

Using the Bulldog Winch Booster Cable Set # BDW20197 on your 2014 Ford Explorer Sport won't be an issue most of the time but you will want to be careful. First of all, as with any type of wiring connections, you will need to keep the quick connector clean and dry at all times. Trying to jump a car with moisture or debris in the connector can cause a problem for you regardless of what vehicle it is.
